Value creation
Stena Recycling focuses on gathering waste and residual materials generated from business operations and end-of-life products. These resources are then mainly turned into recycled raw materials or energy. In addition, a range of services are offered to help customers minimize waste management costs, get the most value out of their waste, and improve overall circularity.
The value creation process involves several stages, from securing material inflow through the inbound sales process and comprehensive collection services to ensuring profitable allocation of recycled materials through outbound sales, as well as logistics services. With Stena Recycling’s total waste management offering, customers choose the services that best suit their business.

We work with more than 100,000 customers across industries and municipalities and have a network of 178 certified recycling facilities across Europe – including our flagship facility, the Stena Nordic Recycling Center, in Sweden, where materials from a number of European countries are recycled. At Stena Nordic Recycling Center we design each process as a scalable concept, ready to implement at our recycling plants in for example Poland and Italy, from which we serve our markets outside the Nordic countries. This means we can offer the same high recycling rates and high-quality raw materials from recycling in all of our markets.
We have invested a vast amount of time and resources in our facilities to deliver advanced and efficient recycling on an industrial level as well as conduct a global trade in high-quality recycled raw materials.
