All you have to do is place your used electronics in one of our secure cabinets. We take care of the rest – from collection and data deletion to reuse or recycling.

You can track your used electronic products from your premises to our facility. Any reused or recycled materials are then documented to ensure that they are fully traceable.

End-of-life electronic products or components that can’t be reused are recycled. All recycled material is then used in the manufacturing of new products.

Step 1: Preparation

Before collection, devices must be unlocked, cloud services removed, and accessories included. You can pack items yourself or use Stena Recycling’s secure transport cabinets with GPS tracking.

Step 2: Collection & transport

Used electronics are collected and transported securely. Every product and accessory is labelled and given an ID for full traceability throughout the process.

Step 3: Assessment

At Stena Recycling’s Nordic Recycling Center, experts manually inspect and grade each product and accessory to determine reuse potential.

Step 4: Data security

All confidential information is securely erased using GDPR-compliant Blancco software, and a certificate of secure deletion is issued.

Step 5: Refurbishment or recycling

Reusable products are refurbished and prepared for resale. Components from non-reusable items are salvaged, and remaining materials are recycled into high-quality raw materials. Hazardous waste is safely disposed of.

Step 6: Reporting

Within 30 days, you receive an environmental diploma showing CO₂ savings for sustainability KPIs, an estimated product value and cost breakdown, and profit-sharing details.
